Finally got around to posting about this project. The actual show ran on Saturday, October, 22 2011 in Reading, Pennsylvania. Here’s a bit of background on this initiative.
The Billboard Art Project is a nonprofit organization that acquires digital billboards normally used for advertising and repurposes them as roadside galleries. Projects are held in cities all over the country and are open to all individuals and groups who are interested in participating.

This is definitely an unconventional art exhibition. The Billboard Art Project is one of the most popular and widespread (shows all over the U.S.) billboard art shows out there.
I appreciate being featured within the show. Most of these pieces have been featured on my blog or are somewhere on my portfolio. Since digital pre of artwork is the objective, I didn’t have to lug around any of my giant canvas. Cropping the artwork so it actually made sense and didn’t look crazy was a challenge but I think I did fine. I was surprised all of my work was able to be photographed – night time looks nice!

Once I create/organize more work I absolutely plan on participating in another one of their shows. Most likely with more show specific graphic designs – the Right of Way is my favorite of them all.
